Have you ever been in touch with a need so deep that it frightens you? You can feel it just under the surface and it beckons you to look. But rather than look you continue to run from it. If you follow it, what would you follow it to? What does it have to offer you? What old worn out beliefs have taken up residence in the fabric of this wound. What are you dying to know about yourself but to scared to be shown?
When you look closely and connect with this deeper need you can see that it appears to mirror a need outside of you. An external need, whether it be for a special relationship, a better job, to be recognized by family, work or peers. A need to be seen, to be validated, to be loved, a need to be powerful in the world.
When these external needs utilize the egos ability to fantasize, in other words mass projection, its prize tool, then you can say you have mastered the art of connecting in the world through the pain body. We identify and spend our time out in the external killing fields, sleepy, tired and hypnotized and waiting for some special someone or situation to bring us Life, clarity and purpose.
Our need to hang tightly on to the dream and fantasies in order to avoid looking and being with the denied need within, assures us that we remain always thirsty while telling ourselves that we are not.
This deep and rejected place inside is the motivator for the fantasies, the day dreams, the projections. In the same breath one moment of connection with this deep internal need will expose the motivation of the egos plans and goals, fears and insecurities, denial and self hatred. Looking within, facing the need as the love you are is a direct threat to all fantasy. Meeting yourself, being available within.
The fight and the resistance that is the very flesh of projection has no defense against the genuine longing to connect to Self, to go within, to access what seems insurmountable to face or to look upon
What if we knew that the heart not only has the capacity but in fact was built for this union. That it waits on with infinite patience to meet all parts of you, denied or otherwise, wounded or neglected, conscious or unconscious.
In the alchemy and presence of spirit the deep need surrenders its wisdom in contribution to the perfection of love. You realize that all along this wound that was so feared and rejected has always been in direct proportion to the depth of your desire to be conscious. In other words the gateway to experiencing Self. Funny how we seem to always fear the very thing that sets us free.
When we want anything from another we are beckoning them into the darkness with us.
The fear of looking at what is driving the need in the first place.
